AUBURN, Mass. – Businesses around town were named the “Best of Auburn” for several different categories at Wednesday's Auburn Chamber of Commerce’s awards breakfast at Pakachoag Church.
More than 1,300 residents nominated their favorite Auburn businesses throughout the summer in several categories, including best restaurant, bank, car dealer, fitness facility, gas station, family fun destination and more.
“The ‘Best of Auburn’ awards are done annually to acknowledge the wonderful job our businesses do each and every day and we thank them for their hospitality,” said Don Bourque, chamber president. “The contest proves that people notice the wonderful job they do in making Auburn the great community it is. We thank them for being a part of the Auburn business community.”

In addition, Ann Klein-Flynn was recognized for her 30 years of chamber involvement. She will be resigning from the board of directors at the end of the month to continue her winter retirement in Florida so the chamber thanked her with a plaque.
“I didn't expect anything like that. It was lovely,” Klein-Flynn said. “I've enjoyed my time tremendously with the chamber. I've met some wonderful people.”
Door prizes and gift certificates were donated by The Coffee Mug, Untamed Salon & Spa, Sheldon’s Harley Davidson and Webster First Federal Credit Union.
